Elf Academy Kid's Crafts

Sunday December 4, 2pm & 3pm - FULL -

Sign up the little ones for a craft making session worthy of Santa's approval! During the session we'll guide 'elves' through making three garden inspired holiday crafts involving air plants, pinecones and more! Cost is $10 per child (includes tax). Suitable for ages 4 and up (with parental assistance for the little ones). Please call 604.792.6612 to register and let us know which time (2pm or 3pm) you'll be joining us! Indoor Miniature Train Rides

December 9-24

All Aboard! We have a BRAND NEW TRAIN coming this year and we're so excited for you to join us for its first season! Tickets are $4 per person, per ride (including tax), and children aged 3 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased through any of our cashiers. We've got fun new themes this year and returning favourites too, and thousands of twinkling lights all around. The train will be running:

Dec. 9-23: Weeknights from 5-7:30pm, Weekends from 12-7:30pm
Dec. 24: 12-4pm

Evening Indoor Light Display

Dec. 9-23, 5-8pm Wander through the perennial house to see thousands of shining lights, colourful vignettes and character peices and wave at the train as it goes by! There is no charge to view the lights.

Live Owl & Raptor Visits, Classes & Nature Walks

Meet Live Owls & Raptors 11am-3pm Dec. 10, 11, 17 & 18

The incredible creatures from Raptors Ridge Birds of Prey are back again this season! Come and see Barn, Barred, Pygmy and/or Great Horned Owls and hawks, kestrels and/or falcons too. This is a unique opportunity to see these exquisite animals up close and to learn more about them.


OWL CLASSES, by Registration Only, Dec. 10 & 17 at 11am
This one hour session focusses on the secret lives of the owls and why they are truly amazing in flight, hearing and eyesight. Each participant will receive their own owl pellet for dissection and have a chance to meet 'Radar', the Great Horned Owl! This is a youth oriented class suitable for ages 8-15. Registration is required and is limited to 10 students per class. Call 604.792.6612 to sign up!


NATURE WALK with RADAR, Dec. 10, 11, 17 & 18 at 1pm
What better way to learn how owls act in nature than to take a walk with one outside! At 1pm Kim and Radar, the Great Horned Owl, will be taking folks on a guided walk to our back field. There is no charge to attend, just arrive at the owl area by 1pm and come along!

Family Fun Days

December 10, 11, 17 & 18

Winter Clue Search, 12-7:30pm Pick up a 'Clue Search' form from our cashiers, search high and low through the store for the answers and, when you're done, show your form at the front till to receive a holiday goodie bag prize! All answers can be found under cover.
Story Time with Mrs. Claus, 2pm Little ones are invited to gather round Mrs. Claus in the Tropical House to hear holiday stories.
Visits with Santa & Mrs. Claus, 5:30-7:30pm Santa & Mrs. Claus will be walking through the store, visiting with guests and pausing for photos. Come by and say hello!

Holiday Porch Pots

Sunday November 27, 2pm

Watch as Pauline demonstrates how to add some WOW factor to the entrance of your home! Learn the techniques of creating a lush porch pot and then, if you wish, make your own to take home. There is no cost for the demo portion; charges apply for supplies used if you wish to make your own design.

SPCA Pet Photos with Santa

Saturday November 26, 10am-4pm

A popular tradition among pet owners! Photos are by donation (minimum requested donation is $10 please, $20 for a tax receipt) and all proceeds go directly to our local SPCA. Pet food donations are respectfully declined, but new pet toys are appreciated!
Notice to pet owners: There is lawn space located outside the garden store should your pet need to have a quick 'pit stop' before entering, and if you happen to forget a bag to clean up, we will have extras available at the front tills. Please ensure all pets arrive attached to their owners (fixed length leashes under 3' long please) and thank you for keeping animals close so that they do not damage store product. Thank you for your help and cooperation!

Aeriums & Terrariums

Sunday November 20, 2pm

Let Pauline show you how to create air plant ornaments and feature pieces as well as tropical terrariums. Perfect gifts for indoor gardeners! Please call 604.792.6612 to register.

Mimosa Mingle
in support of the Chilliwack Children's Foundation

Saturday November 19, 10am-12pm
Tickets $20

See some of our favourite seasonal fashion pieces and party frocks, mingle with the models, learn how to make a Winter Floral Crown, meet Rosalinde Blake and her line of luxury hand-poured soy candles (made in Princeton BC... and be sure to ask about her experience at the Oscars!), blitz your seasonal shopping list and receive 15% off your purchases that morning*, all while sipping a holiday mocktail mimosa and nibbling on brunch bites! You'll also receive $10 in 'Bonus Bucks' to use in January, have a chance to win great prize (like a $50 gift card to the store!), hang out with the lovely STAR FM Cruiser Crew and enjoy live music by Brenda Jackson too. It's going to be a great morning in support of a great cause!

23rd Annual Gift Craft & Antique Fair
