Country Garden Store is located on 18 acres in downtown Chilliwack. In addition to a nursery and garden centre that is the dream of any gardener, we also have a wonderful nature preserve right in our own back yard.

Bring your family and visit the Nature Preserve, where you'll find our emus, local wildlife and a miniature village too. The village was added in 2003 after local merchants, who had sponsored the individual houses for a display at the Chilliwack Public Library over Christmas, needed a new location for them after the holiday season ended. In 2004 we added the bamboo treehouses. Originally built for display at a local garden show, they now make a fun spot for kids to play.

Children love to cross our suspension bridge, built in 2002. The bridge provides an excellent viewing point to watch the hundreds of birds that take refuge in the Nature Preserve, and to gaze into the pond (and all its fauna) below.

As you wander through this area, keep an eye out for all nature's inhabitants. If you're very observant, you may even have a chance to meet the Emus, Emma and Elvis, our two geese, and the bunnies who have a little pen in the area!

Please note, this area does not accommodate picnicking and is only open to the public during store hours; however, we welcome visitors who wish to talk a walk through the area, snap a few photos, or just take a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.
